Shelter Fun Frolic Saturday October 22nd, 2016 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM Location: Johnson's Orchards (540) 586-3707 Map: 2122 Sheep Creek Rd., Bedford VA 24523 The Shelter Fun Frolic is to benefit Friends of Bedford County Animal Shelter. Support the homeless pets of Bedford County as you walk through a scenic 2.5 mile trail that will meander through the apple orchards and green pastures. You are welcome to bring your vaccinated pet to accompany you. All of this for just a $10 donation per participant. On site you will find refreshments for you and your canine companion; educational information; and various vendors. Don't miss out on the raffle and the pet costume contest! Though, times are a lot tougher this year for all of us especially the small businesses that have so generously supported our cause with sponsorships and donations in past years. However, as a group have decided to plan for this annual tradition in hopes we will be able to gather with our friends, family, and supporters. Friends of Bedford County Animal Shelter will be holding our 7th annual Pet Luau event at the Bedford County Animal Shelter from 10 AM to 2 PM on June 12th, 2021. There will be so much fun to be had by all. Come out and meet the awesome available shelter pets. There will also have hotdogs, pasta salad, and baked beans for purchase. As always you can expect a huge variety of baked goods made by our wonderful volunteers, and Darlene‘s famous homemade dog and cat treats. From 12:30 PM to 2 PM Riverside veterinary hospital will be hosting a rabies clinic also at the Bedford County animal shelter in the overflow parking lot. The clinic will be driving through style. Rabies vaccinations will be $ 8 cash or check. 3-year vaccinations are available with proof of prior vaccination.
All proceeds benefit Friends of Bedford County Animal Shelter! Come out and support us so that we can continue to assist the shelter pets along with our fosters in need! We can’t do what we do without the community.

Rabies vaccinations will be $8 cash or check. 3 year vaccinations are available with proof of prior vaccination. All proceeds benefit Friends of Bedford County Animal Shelter! The Shelter Friends Fun Frolic includes a 2.5k walk through the trails with beautiful fall foliage, a dog costume contest, raffles, and complimentary coffee, and Apple Cider (cider provided by Johnson's Orchards).
