This guy broke my heart today. Duke came back to the Bedford County Animal Shelter after being adopted just 8 months ago. He is covered in bruises and emaciated. He also had puncture wounds. We can only imagine what he has endured. Never again baby boy.. never again. Dude deserves so much more. Dude is said to be good with dogs, cats, and children. He is about 7 years old. Dude is such a wonderful boy who has just had a run of terrible luck. If you would like to give Dude the home and the life he deserves, please call the shelter at 540-586-7690. You can also email our volunteer address at fobcasfriends@gmail.com. Dude is 52 lb, had a prolapsed colon. Surgery fixed it. He will however need to be on gastro food and Metamucil. This will greatly reduce the chances of him having a relapse. He seems to like other dogs and children. We would always suggest a meet and greet for any animal you are bringing into your home with current family members and pets. He has a nice amount of energy and is very affectionate.
