I fell in love last week.

Ok, so it may happen more than I care to admit, but let me introduce you to this gentle giant, Dominic.

My newest shelter love.

This precious boy evaded capture by animal control for weeks…he had a collar with chain attached…but AC didn’t give up, and now we have a very frightened youngster in a VERY full shelter.

We don’t know much about this guy yet, as he is warming up to shelter staff and volunteers and revealing his personality to us. We do know that he craves love and after I spent a while sitting on the floor of his kennel, he was brave enough to come over to me for some scritches and love and he absolutely LOVES other dogs!!

 

All it took was him knowing I was safe and a friend, and he wanted more and more love…this boy is going to be such a loyal and loving companion!! I can’t wait to see him flourish as he realizes that he can trust us. He is a young pyrenees mix, approximately 10 months old, and has not yet been neutered, but will be before he is adopted.
