Meet Lady. This precious mama came to the shelter after a kind citizen found her pregnant and lost. This citizen kept her while she had her puppies and allowed her the time to raise her babies in a home environment. Lady's puppies are now weaned (thankfully not at the shelter), and Lady is looking for her forever home! This girl is sweet as pie. She had our volunteers wrapped around her paw for pictures just by gazing into their eyes and leaning on them for affection. If she wanted more attention, she would lift her paw and ever so gently reach out to ask for more pets. Lady is timid at the shelter, the new environment is causing her to shut down, but as she gets used to her surroundings we will get to know more about her personality. But we hope she will be adopted before then!

She is a foxhound, about a year old, so we can only assume that when she comes out of her shell she will have plenty of young dog energy and mischief to get up to. She has a history of jumping fences and going on jaunts led by her nose, a very foxhound thing to do. Lady will be spayed and up to date on vaccines before she is adopted.
