Abby came into the shelter after being seized by Animal Control on the basis of neglect. She was skin and bones with a body score of one. This girl is now a healthy weight of 50.2 pounds. Abby has been spayed and fully vaccinated thanks to the excellent care from Riverside Veterinary Hospital and tbt Bedford County Animal Shelter (VA) staff. She is also heart worm negative. Abby came in with another dog who was recently adopted. Not only is she a total sweetheart, but she is also very neat in her kennel. We believe this means she is either housebroken or would catch on quickly. Abby is in need of an indoor home where she would be treated as a member of the family not just a possession used for hunting purposes. Please consider adopting Abby.
