Mabel is one of seven court case dogs that have been signed over to the Bedford County Animal Shelter, and are now available for adoption. We have told Mabel stories about what it's like to be a house hound. She is now dreaming of the day she can live that kind of life. Mabel has spent her years until now on a short chain with a turned over barrel for shelter. Food was scarce and attention was nonexistent. When Mabel first came into Riverside veterinary hospital 2 months ago for care, she was extremely thin and broken emotionally. Mabel has come a long way while receiving such excellent care. She deserves so much more. Mabel is about 8 years old and is a spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, bluetick coonhound with a heart of gold. She even has a pretty heart like pattern on her side.
