Hi Everybawdy! My name is Shayla. I had been wandering the Parkway until a nice lady stopped and gave me some water. I even climbed in her car to cool down until Animal Control came to take me to the shelter. I have gotten plenty of food and even stayed cool in the air conditioning. It's been real nice. This place is packed with other dogs though. I am told that it's not a good thing when the shelter gets so full. There is no space for new dogs like me who need a safe place to land. All of the dogs here are all hoping to get something called a forever home. I really need one of those too. Anybody out there want me a home to call my own? I'm so tired of being alone. I promise to be your very best friend!
Love,
Shayla
