Squirrel has been at the Bedford County Animal Shelter for a long time. She is about 3 years old and came into the shelter as a homeless single momma. Squirrel raised her babies and even weaned one an extra amount of time due to her being so tiny. Squirrel has been an excellent momma. She has however hid in her kitty cage bed pretty much all the time. A few days ago a staff member had the idea to switch her into a regular kitty bed. That was the best thing ever for Squirrel. She has blossomed like a flower

Squirrel now comes to the front of her cage and enjoys getting human attention. She is just a sweetheart. Squirrel still does not liked to be picked up at all. She prefers attention on her terms like your typical kitty princess. We would love to see Squirrel find the home she deserves.
