Meet Rocky.
Rocky came into the Bedford County Animal Shelter after her owner passed away. This guy looked like he hadn’t had the best care for a while. So we immediately got to work. First he got a shave down and a bath. He was then vaccinated, heart worm tested, and dewormed. Rocky’s mouth was full of rotten teeth and infection. After a round of antibiotics he had 24 teeth extracted. Rocky has been recuperating in his Friends of Bedford County Animal Shelter foster home. We have learned that at this point Rocky would rather not be picked up. He wants to give affection on his terms. He will follow you around and be your loyal buddy though. Rocky seems to prefer human food, but his Foster Dad did discover he will eat Caesar’s pouches. Rocky is fine with dogs and cats in his foster home. However, he doesn’t want them in his personal space. He would be best suited in a home with no small children. Rocky is 7- 8 years old and already neutered. Rocky is NOT at the county animal shelter. He is in foster care. An application is required in order to be considered.
