Looking for a lap dog whose goal in life is to give snuggles and kisses? Then look no further! Margie is a Havanese mix (we think Pekingnese) and every ounce of her 15 lbs body wants to be as close as possible to her humans! She is a little shy at first, but with a little patience she comes right out of her shell! Margie is easy to get along with. She meets other dogs nicely, she is not pushy or invasive. In her foster home she has been around several dogs, cats, and kids with no issues. In fact, it could be argued that Margie enjoys children more than she does adults. Since she is so shy, it takes her awhile to get used to smaller, loud, children like toddlers, but the 7 year old girl in her foster home is her favorite person. Margie would love to find a home with a family of her very own, a permanent little girl to love on, or a quiet senior's lap to lay in. Margie walks well on a leash and listens well. Since she is puppy aged, she has some manners to learn. We are working on housetraining and chewing, any interested adopters should be prepared to continue this training in their own home. Margie is spayed, up to date on shots, and available for adoption through Friends of Bedford County Animal Shelter.
