SENIOR ALERT!!!
Special Needs Senior Needs a Home!! Please SHARE!!! Bedford VA

Greta came into the Bedford County Animal Shelter and was in terrible shape. She was circling and gobbling water, she seemed dazed and super skinny. The shelter workers called us immediately and FOBCAS agreed to sponsor her medical care. She was rushed to Riverside Veterinary Hospital where we knew she would be in great hands. They face her great care, put her on medications, ran bloodwork. Unfortunately we found out she was in the beginning stages of kidney disease. She has been at Riverside for a week now and is feeling a little better. Greta is going to need a home to live out the rest of her days. We don't know how long that will be, but she is a senior girl with kidney disease. Time is not on her side. She will need a daily supplement and blood work in 6 months. Are there any rescue's or someone with a huge heart for seniors in need able to take her into your home? She is about 38 pounds and 10-12 years old. Greta is nervous with people but not aggressive. It doesn't look like she has had good care in a long time. Also, she does seem to have a spay scar. Please email fobcasfriends@gmail.com.
