Senior Sweetie Searching For a Retirement Home!
Gizmo is a very senior Shih Tzu. He is deaf and vision impaired (he isn't blind but vision is limited). Despite that he is getting around pretty well. Because of the generosity of Riverside Veterinary Care, your kind donations, and fundraising, FOBCAS was able to get his needed veterinary care. Gizmo has been treated for a urinary tract infection. He will need to be put on prescription dog food for the rest of his life. His blood work looks good for his age. Gizmo is going to have a much needed dental tomorrow. We do not expect he will have many teeth left afterward. He is crate trained but will have an occasional accident in the house if not taken out frequently. He seems fine with other dogs. Current dog in the household would have to be mellow and gentle. This would be because of his age and disabilities. Gizmo can't offer you many years but what he can offer is love and devotion for the rest of his days. Adopting a senior can be so rewarding.
